Most small business sites
are a maintenance bill.
The usual setup is WordPress on a shared server: a database, a dozen plugins, and a theme that was cheap three years ago. Every one of those is a thing that can break, and every one of them wants updating.
So the site goes down, or gets defaced, or just gets slower each year until somebody pays to rebuild it. Then the same cycle starts again.
A website with nothing running on it cannot be hacked, cannot fall over under load, and does not need updating.
That is the whole idea. Everything below follows from it.
Static by default
Your site is a set of files. No database, no PHP, no plugins. There is nothing running that an attacker can log into and nothing that needs patching on a Sunday night.
Served from the edge
Pages are delivered by a content network from the location nearest the visitor. There is no origin server to fall over on the day you get busy.
Changes on request
Send us the change and we make it. If you would rather edit the site yourself, we wire in an editor and show you how. We will tell you which of those is cheaper for the way you actually work.
Scope
One conversation about what the site has to do and who it is for. We write down what success looks like before anyone opens a design tool.
Build
Content structure first, then design, then build. You see it working on a real URL early on, while it is still cheap to change your mind.
Launch
We move the domain, issue the certificate, and check it on real devices. Nothing goes live until the redirects from your old pages are right.
After
The site sits there working. Ask when you want something changed. There is no monthly retainer for the privilege of existing.

A brochure site is smaller work than a simulation pipeline. It gets built to the same standard, on the same hosting, by the same people. The site you are reading is built that way, and so is every site we build.
